I have an original photograph taken after death of my great great Uncle Matthew II.
He was my Granny Agopian nee Tevian Christine born in Smyrna around 1860 married in Smyrna 1897 to Balthazar Garabed Agopian.
I went a few years ago to Istanbul with the photograph and his picture was on the Vestry wall, nobody spoke English sadly, but they confirmed my photo was Matthew II.
