Zeytun – 1909
Zeytun in 1909. The Armenian city of Zeytun (Ulnia), located in the Taurus Mountains, was part of the Kingdom of Giligian (Kilikian) Armenia. Hnchak Meléh
Hnchak Meléh was martyred in Jan 1896 in a raid on the turkish village of Elbistan along with 2 other Zeytountsi freedom fighters. He was the comrade of the Armenian writer and Hnchak Garabed Toursarkissian (Baron Aghassi) who participated in the Second Zeytun resistance. Armenian Diaspora Memory and Innovation collection.
