“Photo of Zeytoun from the west in year 1905; the photographer was a student-monk from the Frères Jésuites de l’Université St. Joseph of Beyrouth, Liban. Note on the top center-right the old 15-th century-built Armenian Apostolique Vank [Monastery] of Sourp Astvatzatzine surrounded by orchards and vineyards, which was bombarded and razed down with blazing fires in June 1915 by the Turkish Jandarma genociders.”
