Harutiun Tcholakian (or Artin Tcholakyan) was a master craftsman of the Santoor. He was the paternal uncle of the heroic freedom fighter of Zeytun Panos Tcholakian.

The above photo is of Usta (Master) Artin Tcholakyan in 1913 of Zeytun, a master craftsman of the Santoor, an oriental version of the celtic hammered dulcimer. Usta Artin was the paternal uncle of Panos Tcholakyan, one of the heroic freedom fighters of Zeytun who was the distinguished squad leader of Armenian defenders in the Grand Zeytun Uprising of 1895-1896 and he and his men were triumphant in the battle against the Turks and Tchérquéz bashi-bozouqs of Anderun who were the aggressors against the Armenians of Zeytun.
